Tulsa Events Center

Howell & Vancuren was selected to design a base, fitting for a new arena being designed by Cesar Pelli, FAIA, and renewal of the existing convention center. The landscape design features earth forms that reflect the sweeping building forms and a simple plant list that allows the building to be the true focal point of the site. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2007, with a $1.5 million estimated budget for landscape and pedestrian hardscape.

The area will function as a multi-purpose venue while providing an enduring icon for the City of Tulsa . In addition to providing facilities for sports, entertainment and conventions, the project is an essential component of Tulsa 's downtown revitalization strategy.
